Description

Derek and Amanda try a UK staple and some sour gummies.

These two tasty snacks go really good together. One is relatively dry and the other is juicy and a bee!

McVitie's HobNobs were introduced in 1984. It's a digestive biscuit that is made from rolled oats. The variety we ate was the milk chocolate covered HobNobs and they were first made available in 1987. You can readily purchase HobNobs in the UK and I'm sure the product is pretty easy to find throughout Europe. In most other countries you'll probably have to go to a specialty store to get a hold of some McVitie's HobNobs.

The original Life Savers were invented in 1912 by Clarence Crane. Peppermint (branded as Pep-O-Mint) was the original flavour until the Five-Flavor roll appeared in 1935. The sour gummies we sampled first arrived in stores in 1992. Production of the candies for North America occurs in Montreal, Québec, Canada. Life Savers are available in most confectionary stores all over the world.
