Revision3 Readies New Ad Serving Engine Powered by FreeWheel.tv
I caught up with Jim Louderback earlier this week at Streaming Media East. Always good good to find out what's up with Revision3, the fast-growing network of technology-focused episodic online video programs.
Revision3 makes most of its revenue now from sponsors whose messages are often "baked" into the segments. I asked Jim how that advertising is received by big syndication partners. He said it is fine. To maximize advertising dynamically, the company is readying its own ad engine powered by FreeWheel.tv, he told me in this interview.
He also said that consumption of long form videos on mobile devices is growing. The company uses the services of Transpara to power its mobile distribution.
