I read an interesting article the other day about people who get to a certain point in their weight loss, they're happy, feel on top of the world and when they see how their body begins to look they start incorporating their old food favorites.
Why is it that when we reach a certain goal, we feel on top of the world but we're willing to throw it away on food that makes us feel bad?
I've dealt with this situation and many other have as well, I think it's about how you lose the weight. If you lose the weight with a diet where you're ultra extreme with it (only eating grass and drinking water), what do you think is going to happen when you get down to your goal weight and you start eating regular again.
Versus if you lose the weight by living a healthy lifestyle and almost eating like you would when you're in maintenance mode, you won't have a big shock at the end when you start eating regular because you lost weight by changing your lifestyle and making that your regular way of eating.
Question(s) of the day:
Why do you think we're willing to throw our top of the world feeling away to eat something that makes us feel bad? Has this ever happened to you?
