If it wasn't for the fact that, like, five of my friends were doing NaNoWriMo my first year, I probably would never have finished my novel. I think that's why I didn't do so well my second year 'cause I was away at college and didn't have any rl friends doing NaNo with me.

Unfortunatly, employers tend to put more emphasis on something as trivial as "having a degree" rather than "I wrote 50k words in one month!" Silly employers...
