For a few years now. Both Michael Jackson fans and Sonic fans alike have believed and helped prove that MJ was actually one of the composers of Sonic The Hedgehog 3. Officially MJ was canned out of composing for Sonic 3 but it has been proven that some of his music did make it to the final game.(even on Sonic 3 & Knuckles.)
Some Sonic fans have even attempted to match Sonic 3's music with MJ's music and some do sound identicial. Like Stranger In Moscow and Sonic 3 Credits.
NOTE: Stranger In Moscow was released 2 years after Sonic 3. So MJ most likely based SIM's reythem off of Sonic 3's Credit Theme
