The kids had been out swimming earlier. Gabriella & I were just walking down from playing basketball. The older 3 were in the driveway playing a game, running around the lower drive, when the bear came out of the woods - from behind the corn crib.
I grabbed Gabriella & headed for the door while yelling "Everyone - in the house NOW" For once, they listened on the first time.
Once they were all on the porch, I showed them the bear.
