I think its laziness on the part of brands. They may consider posting to a Facebook wall as 'marketing' or 'advertising' instead of taking the time to develop a potential business relationship.

it seems that they just don't care... quantity over quality. it turns me off, i wouldn't respond positively to any form of spam. it's just annoying. thanks for posting Gary!
