A terrible first attempt at not only the whole V-logging thing, but at a NaNo based rant... I'm sure I was supposed to make some vague sense in accordance to the challenge itself, but ended up making little at all due to my thoughts getting the better of me.. lol.
Oh well, hopefully I shall have something more productive (and potentially more sober..) to say in the near future, just thought I'd get something up for the sake of joining in the video-based-fun ;)

If your finished novel is a beautiful clay pot, think of NaNoWriMo as making clay. You can't shape the pot until you have the clay and clay is not pretty.

heh, that's funny. Last year I had Crosses (by Gonzalez) set on repeat the entire month (I can only listen to one song on repeat over and over, or silence, when I write)

It is indeed! Nicely spotted! I've had The album near enough on solid repeat since I started writing, it seems to be fabulously fitting to get me in the writing mood :)

don't do it. Just keep moving forward. My novel is horrendous right now, but I just keep pretending that as soon as I write something, it dissappears. Sure, it'll reappear once nano is over, but until then there's nothing so I can't read it.

I am far too pleased to see a fellow smoker lol. I always feellike the only writer with this habit...aren't we writers supposed to chain smoke while pounding our keyboards??? I certainly do lol. Welcome to the group!

lol! Thanks for the welcome as well as the smoker shoutout! And Hell Yes on the chain smoking thing.. It's one of my least favourite things about writing in a way, just because I seem to waste more time sucking in nicotine than I do typing given the amount I smoke when I write.. lol. Still, at least I'm not alone in such a compulsion, so Woo for that! ;) hehe.

Ahh, a fellow Brit. I think you're only the second I've seen on here, the other being a Scottish guy who I haven't seen much of lately. And I haven't posted a vlog yet so I don't really count. WELCOME! :-)

Woo! Another Brit! hehe.. I had noticed a lack of them here, which is one thing that prompted me to actually grab my camera and begin the indulgence in Vlogging for the sake of NaNo hehe. Cheers for the welcome, and you should get on the Vlog-ness for the sake of more Britishness ;) hehe.

A feeble excuse I know, but I'm gonna use it anyway: "I'm too busy writing to make a vlog"... I know, all you lot manage it, but I'm so paranoid about getting behind with the old word count. I shall definitely try and do at least one throughout November, probably when I'm more confident that I'm going to make it... ;-)
