November 18, 2008 - To celebrate the legacy of music business pioneer Louise Scruggs and to explore issues related to the business side of the music industry, the museum presents a public program honoring Liz Thiels, senior vice president of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, early owner of the Exit/In, and founder of pioneering Nashville-based entertainment PR firm Network Ink. Since arriving in Nashville in 1969, Thiels has represented dozens of country music stars including Charlie Daniels, Sammy Kershaw, Kathy Mattea, Reba McEntire, Wynonna, and many more. The program includes an in-depth interview, supplemented with photos and film footage. The Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum, made possible by the Gibson Foundation, is presented annually to honor a music industry leader who continues the legacy of pioneer Louise Scruggs.
