Touhou Senkitan - DrunkTankies Battle in the Eastern is a Touhou parody of the arcade and Sega Megadrive game, Gain Ground.
How the game works is that you are given 4 characters to start with. (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Youmu) You can rescue 4 other characters later in the game.
Each character has three special attacks to choose from and their normal attack. They also have a spellcard which can only be used once. (I don't use them in this playthrough because i totally forgot all about them and knowing me I would like to save them anyways... Not like I needed it really anyways... :x)
The Object of the game is to either get all characters to the exit before the time runs out or kill all enemies on the screen. You are timed on each stage. If the timer reaches zero, all characters who have no reached the exit will be captured and you'll lose them.
If you are killed, the character you are using remains on the screen and waits for another character to rescue her by guiding her to the exit. Note that you must bring them to the exit to have it considered a rescue. Killing all enemies on the screen does not accomplish this. You can only have one character waiting for rescue so if another character dies, the newest defeated character will take the place of the previous one. If characters aren't rescued, they are lost forever until you find them and rescue them on another stage.
Each Round contains a boss fight. During these bosses fights, you must defeat the boss. (Duh...) Each boss also have multiple spellcards. These spellcards can be timed out. Don't abuse this though because if you time out too many spellcards, it's an instant gameover. Well because you'll run out of time in the end...
