Inspired by Elizabeth’s grandparents, Syrian immigrants, we decided to delve into the Syrian refugee crisis. We hoped to provide a background of the crisis, a glimpse into the life of a refugee, and discuss the varying American political positions. The Syrian refugee crisis is incredibly relevant to the presidential election of 2016 because of its pressing humanitarian nature and future foreign policy implications.
