You mean the science I learned from Alan Moore comics is wrong?

Anyway it's all moot because, as I said, it turns out that Azeroth is flat (even though all the locals think it's round). Celestial events like sunrise and sunset happen at the same time wherever you are in the world, there's no curvature of the earth, and as noted you can swim to the edge of the world and fall off. A whole new theorem is required, and I think I may have it...

Great stuff. I have to nitpick though, being the sad physics geek that I am -- unfortunately even with the increased density of Azeroth it turns out that the relativistic effects are even less than on Earth. Something else must be behind the mysterious effects usually attributed to network lag...
