In two short weeks both Facebook and Digg will be heading across the pond to London for the Future of Web Apps Expo put on by our good friends at Carsonified.
Future of Web Apps Expo is the premiere internet expo in Europe And, this year we're excited to be bringing a full crew from both Facebook and Digg.
Here's the lineup:
Mark Zuckerberg - Fireside Chat
Kevin Rose - The future of social news
Dave Morin - A more social web with Facebook Connect
Joe Stump - Languages don't scale.
At the end of the day on October 10th, there will be a live filming of Diggnation with our friends from Revision3. And, directly following that, Facebook and Digg have teamed up to sponsor the FOWA Wrap Up Party. It should be a blast!
Special shout out to David Prager and the Revision3 team for putting this video together for us.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I'll be there. We'll be showing our new web app: Swirrl at FOWA, at our stand in the Expo Hall. If you're attending, please drop by and say 'hello' (we're giving away a PSP). FOWA and diggnation were great last year, so looking forward to it.

Facebook Connect is now public and it is not on Digg.
The CBS celebrity gossip site "theInsider" (insider.com) has beat you all to the punch and rolled out the first public version of Facebook Connect. We were all waiting for the Digg Facebook Connect hook up but quietly theInsider scooped you.
I just set up my profile on the site and invited all my Facebook friends list to join me just like the sharing feature on a Facebook group.
While the site is not exactly one I would frequent, it is so worth your time just to see the first and next step in the development of a Friend Connect dominated social web.
The fact that thru Facebook Connect, your friends list is portable, you can make new Facebook friends right on the site and build a profile there as well is groundbreaking.
With the coming Digg / FaceBook Connect alliance you may want to join my Wickedly Evil Social Marketing Tactics group here:
