Hi, what I don't understand is how close you have to be to the base. If it has to be plugged in to your computer, how can you track your steps when you are, for instance, walking around the neighborhood, etc.? Do you have to have the base in your pocket for it to work? This sounds like a really good idea!

I realized I didn't make that clear after the video. The FitBit tracker can record 7 days of data before it has to be synced. So you just wear the tracker all the time, and whenever you get back in range of your computer it will upload it.
