Apple is kinda nuts with the introducing of In-Your-Face advertising. Ads in Apps. Yikes!

I wouldn't waste my money on an iPad, it for one, has to have USB ports, replaceable battery, etc. If it doesn't have that, then forget it. I don't think anybody would want a device dependent on iTunes in order to use it daily or when it screws up.

In my opinion, the iPhone/pod touch, iPad should have a recovery partition, that means if some part of OS X (it's actually based on Debian, one app can be only be installed at a time) screwed itself, it could try and self-heal. If it can't, then it could autoremove the app and allow you to try and download it again.

Same for the core OS components. If something gets damaged (ie. broken deb package), it could be fixed without restoring with itunes.

iAd? What a joke. Oh well. This whole mobile stuff is stupid to me. I never got into anything mobile. It's just a waist of time to me. Waisted potential when you can get so much more out of a full fledged computer.
