It's safe to say that FF9's chocobo hot and cold, while also ridiculously grindy and long, was better and more fun at its absolute worst than ANY part of this minigame.

Basically the European version would straight down kill you at this point unless you where about 50 times stronger than they are now.

I usually got this after two or three tries back when I was collecting the celestial items, but I guess it's much harder with control lag.
