i hooked up a US Konami Official Controller for beatmania IIDX (look it up) to my xp PC via super joy box 3 pro (from play-asia.com) and it works beautifully. here it looks like i'm playing IIDX: DJ TROOPERS (15th Style), but am i really? it could be a iidx sim with a really well done theme, complete with the intro video from the arcade version. who knows?
this plays exactly like at the arcade, except for missing some videos, mostly from the old styles.
the only downside is how the turntable behaves. it occasionally will misstrigger, sending an extra signal. this happens anywhere, whether in the arcade rip or in a flash game (with JoyToKey). i think it's because the slide hindering insert is removed. even with that, there is no noticable lag whatsoever when using the controller. i even have two hooked up at the same time, and it still works well.
i am new to this, and i am not very good, so i apologize if you know these songs, as i mess them up a bit.
the vid is a bit long, so feel free to watch it all or just skip through it. i play scar in the earth (light 7, 3), avant guerre (light 7, 4) and dazzlin' darlin (light 7, 4). as you can see, this is pretty much my skill level so far. after a standard set i take you way back with airflow (light 7, 3) and then i show how ridiculous this game is with avant guerre (another 7, 10).
