Description
India is the biggest recipient of British aid. £2 billion will have
been given by 2011 through the Department of International
Development (DFID). This is the fifth in a series of short films
about the DFID in India, shot by Eshwarappa M and Richard Whittell.
False Promises looks at the 'Business Partners for Development'
project,partly-funded by the DFID, which convinced people to allow
a coal company to mine their lands with devastating results.
