Hitch Hikers Guide to Management

Who needs managers? Aren’t good developers enough?
Should Agile projects have project managers? Is the Coach a manager? And Product Owner?
Allan will look at the different types of manager we find in software development teams and explores what they do, what they should do and why they don’t do it. He will attempt to resolve some of the confusion about managers and Agile teams, and explores what managers need to do to create truly effective Agile teams.
This session is for practising managers, developers who wonder what managers do and, especially, those who have recently become a manager and want to know what they should be doing.

Allan Kelly tries to give some ideas about companies moving to Agile Software Development practices. The presentation is not of much value. He mostly presents himself and his book: Changing Software Development: Learning to Become Agile.
