Ok, this white screen doesn't appear in vegas, but for some reason when I render the file this happens... no idea why. It's a shame cuz there's an awesome image of a double helix that's supposed to go here... =(

I tried renencoding your video with deinterlace. It got rid of some lines, but still no double helix :(

It's kind of a nice effect even if it is unintended.

Thanks! It looks much better now!

Another error here... in Vegas this plays... but when rendered it stalls like this. I actually switched files too. It's like this spot in the video is "dead" or something. No matter what I put here, it stalls like this.

This is an incredible video for your first time out. Absolutely incredible. And the fact you did it in just a matter of days is even more incredible. I can't wait to see what you can do throughout the semester.

These are all great images. If you want to continue to improve this video you might see what it looks like to collect more and more images from across campus and then make them switch with the music (moving very quickly) - which may give a real feeling of the power of media in these students' lives (could be a great intro or conclusion for everybody else's projects as it would be a kind of "big picture" video).

The music is awesome. Do you have the rights to use it? If not, no big deal. We can make our own music for a later draft.

I believe so because they are "break beats". According to kelly, a DJ just throws it together...I don't thnk anyone owns the rights to it. Kelly has TONS more if we are interested (like 20 CD's worth).

Love the McLuhan. Did you run this on top of the music yourself? If so, great timing. It sounds like it was already in the music.

yea... i was anxious last week so I started messing with the audio. I put together the vid first in vegas 7, but i think it has some bugs, so I saved the audio as an mp3, then just opened it in vegas 6 and put the video to it.

Great image to represent the "physical" - it subtly shows McLuhans persepctive that even things like bicycles can be considered "media"

You could probably do a cool timelapse effect around campus by putting a camera on a cart and rolling it around ... then maybe going to slowmo everytime you see somebody with a cellphone or otherwise using technology

I like what you said about the seduction of technology, Wesch... I'm gonna keep her in the vid.

I really like the intro music. There is nothing like a didgeridoo!
