Words:
Everyday I step through this doorway I call home
But home isn't where I'm sleeping
I wanna be home, wrapped up in my sweet savior’s arms
But it's not my time
I'm trying to shine; be the light in this house for my family
But it seems clouded
Clouded by the lies of the enemy and the remedy is right in front of their faces
WHY CAN’T YOU SEE
You need God desperately
But it's not my responsibility to save you
I can only be an example

I vow to be an example of his mercy and love
Tell you how the one up above crushed me and molded me
How I learned that dependency can be a good thing
I sure as hell can’t do this alone
I'd be dead by now
I have this identity in Christ
He breaks my heart more and more every day
If only you knew how much he loves you, wants you
You say that I am obsessed with God like it's an insult
Trust me, it's not
I’m engulfed by his love and joy
And joy isn't the same as happiness
The joy of the Lord is still present in the driest of air
Where I find it hard to open my eyes and see the signs that he is present and he is working

Recorded with a Canon T5i, Canon T6i, and GoPro HERO4 Black.
