I read a blog post by http://Scobleizer.com, by Robert Scoble, today saying he thinks Australia shouldn't filter the Internet and would prefer free speech over his son being restricted sites on the Internet. http://TechCrunch.com joined in on the conversation saying that if you have to call in and ask permission to be uncensored then the government will have reasonable cause to investigate you in court. Personally I believe Internet "protection" of any kind should be controlled by the people whom organize the Internet

I'm Australian, and I agree. It's up to the user to decide for themselves what they do and don't want to access. Short answer there to a long problem.
