Nine eminent scientists and policy experts engaged 160 people at a symposium on Arctic biodiversity in 2010.
Topics included the impacts of climate change on sea ice and marine life the importance of traditional knowledge and the use of new technologies to share biodiversity information. Priorities for future research and public awareness about the Arctic were discussed and debated.
The Arctic Biodiversity Symposium was held on November 18 2010 at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
