Harris Silver left the Canadian Military in 2004 and took up a series of positions with the United Nations and the US
State department in Afghanistan for the next three years. He had an opportunity to work on projects focusing on
three of the main issues leading to stability in Afghanistan, namely disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration of the former Mujahadin fighters, the National Assembly and Provincial Council Elections, and Counter-Narcotic efforts in Kandahar Province . During his experience he re-kindled an interest in photography and had an opportunity to develop his photographic style and technique, capturing interesting moments during his sojourn. This show is the first presentation of this portfolio.
