Description
AOL Inc. (NYSE:AOL) chief Tim Armstrong wants his company to become
the "Time of the 21st century, and that means more acquisitions,"
says Ashkan Karbasfrooshan, CEO of online video content producer
WatchMojo.com. In The Deal's video interview, Karbasfrooshan
predicts AOL will add to its January purchase of StudioNow Inc. for
$36.5 million with other online video startups, such as Howcast.
It's all part of a wave of M&A deals in online video that he
anticipates this year, including potential shopping sprees by
Gannett Co. (NYSE:GCI), Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), Microsoft Corp.
(NASDAQ:MSFT) and Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), with Brightcove,
Howcast, Livestream and TubeMogul among attractive targets. Watch
