Dude, I absoutely love my Drobo!
I got one sent to my home in Australia, and I backed up my computer to it before I moved to America.
Now I'm thinking about getting one in America to backup the external hard drives I have here.
In regards to backup, I also use Mozy.

I've captured uncompressed 1080p video from a video camera to my MacBook Pro with FireWire and it works absolutely fine. :)
