Why use an obscure video platform (Viddler) to host videos published on an under-utilized community platform (Pownce)?Why make video that originates from a cell phone, has poor sound, and shaky quality?Because we CAN. The point IS that the quality sucks, and the video is distributed to micro-communities. The act of distributing information is the point. When the US constitution was written, the amendment guaranteeing freedom from government suppression of speech was placed above all other freedoms. Humans are inherently social beings. We can, and should, communicate with each other; especially in a society that has allowed itself to be undermined by centralized and regulated mediums of communication.Next week I'm going to: the White House TV and Radio Correspondents Dinner in DC, the Pope visiting the United Nations, and Comic Con in Manhattan. ...and you're coming with me - shitty quality or not.
