Microsoft hasn't really been able to catch a break when it comes to hardware reliability of the Xbox 360. A few years back, it was the Red Ring Of Death (RRoD) that caused Microsoft to recall millions of consoles (including mine!) and now, a so-called E74 bug is biting the latest batch of consoles. Microsoft has had to be on the defensive, but to their credit, they've done a pretty good job managing the situation. What did Microsoft learn from the RRoD situation that they should apply to the new E74 kerfuffle? We ask Business Insider writer Dan Frommer, and CNET News reporter Erica Ogg.
Also, netbooks, ultra-portable ultra-cheap ultra-underpowered laptops, have helped a lagging PC industry chalk up some sales numbers. Now, desktop manufacturers are eying the fray with so-called nettops, which take the guts of a netbook and put it in a non-portable package. Nettops seem like a product in search of a market, but will they find some use? Our panel says yes, but if they do hit, it could mean some problems for the PC market down the line.
