What you fail to realize is that Sonic tends to completely destroy Eggman's ships, I don't think minor damage to the hull is his biggest priority.

That would have actually been a good twist: Chip is the dark Gaia and the purple creature is the light Gaia designed to keep him imprisoned. The reason why all those creatures chase him and Sonic is to stop him from gaining all of his power.

Enjoyed the 2k6 videos, and I already know how this will go down eventually. Without spoiling anything, this game shows why Sonic is where he is today. Sonic Team manages to make Sonic stages fun to play again, but they just had to go and add that one gimmick to the game that no one wanted.
Sonic Unleashed. Let the nightmare begin.

Fail. Unlike Sonic 06, this game is actually fun to play. And has almost no glitches. Also, you're implying Sonic was fun to play as in Sonic 06. No, he fucking wasn't.
