One particular issue she mentioned is the need for good communication skills in a leader, which was related to her comment that every leader should try being in sales. The need to communicate effectively in a way your audience wants to hear, according to what's important to them, is a basic principle of public speaking, whether your audience is 100 people or just one.
It's great to hear something you believe in so strongly from someone you so greatly admire.
