Viddler

I really like the idea. Giving a chance for the not so popular members to get some exposure. I love Viddler because unlike most video sites, there is a since of community. I want to thank all the staff and administrators for having such a wonderful community. Please do not sale out like YouTube did, LOL!!!

I was wondering if there can be a film festival, an actually in person film festival that is also online. Start a group where people can submit there hard worked on films. Then the top (whatever numbers) will be selected by you guys based on guidelines you set.

After that, the online festival can be a dedicated web site that uses Viddler's authentication. With that, users on Viddler can vote for their favorite movies. In the PA or any city chosen by the Viddler staff, the actually film festival will show the films from the top movies.

At a certain time and date set, the tally is totaled up. The last day, there can be a ballroom dinner which will be like an awards ceremony. "The winner for best actress, best movie, best this, and best that...".

At that point the web site will archive the winners with the embedded files to something like...

Every year, you guys can choose different locations through the US and the world probably where the film festival can be hosted. It can also turn into a Viddler conference as well.

This is a really cool idea, Labanex. :) I'm not sure it's one that we could organize in the very near future (it would be quite an undertaking), but it's a really great suggestion to keep in mind for future projects. I love it, personally. :)
