Viddler

I just got a webcam the other day, and I'm figuring out how to use it. I can't wait to do some reviews on the films in the festival... there are some really great ones this year. (not that the past two years weren't great...) Does anyone have a favorite yet?

I'm really enjoying watching the films. This is the first year that I didn't watch all of the films in their entirety before the festival began, so this is very exciting for me. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to be part of the contest since I'm part of the Haydenfilms Team, but I'm definately going to do my reviews on my MeToday once I get it up and running! I've been watching them very slowly to "soak it all in," but so far I'm really loving "The Last Thing to Go Through a Fly's Mind", "The Boot of War", "Displacement", "For the Love of God", and "Le Gardien du Nid". We are extremely honored to have such talented filmmakers in our festival, and I'm really looking forward to watching all of your review videos. We are also really excited to have such a cool company like Viddler supporting us. Good luck to everyone who's gonna do some reviews! I guess the more reviews you do, the better your chances are of winning the trip? Is that how that works Colin?

I am finding the films more interesting than those with the high priced refreshments. I like the idea of a format that does not conform to a Hollywood/ for profit/brain candy mentality. Would love to review some of the entries. What is the deadline for submissions?

Say Devroe, I imagine many of us are thinking the time frame for submiting a video review ends on Holloween or there about. What is the last day we can submit more. There has to be much more interest in reviewing these films than is being expressed in the reviews so far. We already have some great reviewer. Say guys team up with some video geeks, and knock out a few more reviews. All you arm-chair critics get off your duffs, and put your criticisms where your keyboard is. Viddler needs more than what's up now to justify the Big Apple trip. If this is all the responses, maybe the Big Apple trip could be dependant on the reviews of the four finalists, and this by only those who submitted a review during the top fifty films review?

Say cdevroe, it's getting close to Big Apple Time. Is anyone going from the movie review department? If so, when will you be posting the lucky (in this case) guy name? Just in case it's me, I just bought five gallons of red paint LOL. Whoever it is, they will be one lucky random guy. Take care, and hope to see you in NY, NY, my kind of town.
