Just a question for all you who have 'won' in the past...

When you paste in your word count and are taken to the winner's page to 'collect your certificate', are you allowed to save it, or revisit, or do you have just the one chance to print it off there and then?

The only reason I ask is tht my printer is running low on ink and I may not have a new cartridge in time for Friday.

yeah, you can save the link and revisit it. Or at least, you could in years past.

You can supposedly revisit the winner's page any time between when you validate your wc and sept 2008. That's what the site claims :)

I really like the winner's certif this year. I, like you, am running out of ink so I haven't printed it off yet, but I like it :)

Should I wait until I have my real, final word count to validate? Does the certificate put your final word count on it? Or should I validate now? :) I'm past 50k, but I need about 5ish-k more to finish the story.

You could also printing it into a PDF-file. If you have no Adobe Distiller, you can download a free program called PDF995 (Google it)
The PDF you can then print whenever you want.

Mokey -- it doesn't put your word count on the certif (that was one of the things I was worried about), so I'd go ahead and do it now so you don't forget to do it later :) However, it was odd, because getting that certificate really made it feel like The End of nano, ya know, so you might just want to wait until youre done so that you that sense of closure ^_^

I'm gonna make myself wait until I hit 100k... Ack I'm soooo excited to see what the certificate looks like this year!!
