Macbook Air (back)

I figured I would start some threads based on some of the new Apple products. If you do a video, and/or just want to chat about what you think, do that in here.

Thoughts on the Apple Macbook Air?

Haha, I thought this was funny, thanks to Matto for sharing.

Much agreed with what Matto "said." Plus, why would I ever want to put my computer in an inter-office mailer anyway?

Weight
Are we that weak now that two pounds makes a difference? I could see if you have a Macbook Pro but...

Thickness, or rather Thinness
I would rather have a notebook that has a bit of feel to it when it's in my back or on my lap. I routinely reach behind me to make sure my Macbook is still in my backpack, with the Air, you could mistake it for a small book.

Memory and Hard Drive
This should be obvious.

Overall, if I was a writer or journalist and all I needed was a small notebook to write on and nothing else, I might get it, but I like the power of my Macbook better.

bryanculver: If I had a Mac Pro sitting on my desk, and I didn't own a laptop, and I had $2,000. I'd buy one instantly.

That's true. I forgot those of whom who have a desktop and want something ultra-portable just to surf on the go.

If I had the money to blow, which I doubt I will have til my daughter is in her 30s (23 more years), I would go for a nice Mac Pro set up and an Air.

But at this point, there's so many other things I need in life. Like a motorcycle.

matto: Agreed.
