Does anybody ever take a real life person and put them into one of your stories? I don't mean, loosely base a character on a real life person. I think everybody does that. But do you guys ever put a 100% accurate representation of a real person into a story? I'm doing that with my latest novel with two real people. It makes it interesting.

I've never done it. Don't do it at all.

I could write a story about Madonna being haunted by a double alter shadow ego, but I wouldn't know how Madonna would react. Would she run away and scream, try to kill it, or sing it away?

Kinda my point... But I don't do it. I make my characters up. : )

I have...
The diary off Jane
A.K.A myself
and my ex gf... No one figured it out but us...
But it was THE MOST HARDEST story I have ever written...
There was no creative freedom

I've done it a couple of times, but usually only with people I don't know terribly well. A certain Greyhound employee I met once turned up in my NaNo novel this year...

I did it for my nano novel 2006 (the one i only about about a third of the way through). It actually worked pretty well, in that I know the kid really well, and so I have a really good idea how he'd react/what he'd say in various situation. But then it started to turn into a bit of a fanfiction of my life...which was weird... one of the reasons I never finished that novel, haha. But it was fun to write, I will admit that.
