Get elapsed playback time using JavaScript (back)

Hi,
I could not find a way to get current playback time using the JavaScript API. Did I miss something JS API call? There is a plan to add more functions/events to the JS API?

Mattia: We do not yet have the ability to get the playhead position on the player using Javascript. But, we do plan on adding this in the near future. We'll keep you informed.

I am working on a project that would love to see this feature of getting the current playback time using the JavaScript API- what is the status of this? Anyway we could use this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
