I've been watching videos on the site and I noticed that videos only play in progressive. Has the streaming option been removed? Is all videos gonna play in progressive only? I'm just wondering.

Hi Jamurai, great question, your the first to ask.

Over the last year we have had many problems with streaming. It's not consistently up, people have problems connecting, multiple files need to be created for one stream. It's expensive and not reliable.

We are turning it off and moving to a progressive seek player (similar to Youtube/Google Videos player technology). In the end this will allow us to do similar things as Streaming but in a much more reliable manner.

The fact is, according to Sandieman's message above, the streaming won't come back. But the features available with the progressive playback will be quite similar to streaming.

Winerendezvous: and what about, 5 min after leaving home "I need to peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" :p

ok ok.. just take it easy.. yes I was this child because I can't wait all time. it was just a question, because I wanted to know if I should build some streaming on my own for some videos or if I should wait..
for this the question again: what do you think dear viddler team, how long time will it take still this option is available?
