Viddler

I have posted this already several times.

When I want to change my privaty setting (edit sharing options) the POPUP menu
is hidden under the video. Meaning I can't change these settings.

what browser are you using?
do you have the lastest version of flash?

Yes Bernie I have the latest version of Flash, and I am using both Internet Explorer and FireFox.

However FireFox doesn't work at all with Viddler it only comes up with text.

I wish I could send you some screenshots to show these problems.

In windows: Press the Print Screen/Prnt Scrn key, open pbrush (paint brush): Start > Run, type in pbrush. Click edit > Paste. Save as JPEG or BMP, upload to imageshack or a similar site, link in forums.

In Linux: Same key as windows, click Save. Upload to sharing site, link in forums. Not all linuxes use the same key or automatically give you the option to save the file.

Mac, not sure what key to use.

what type of plugins do you have in firefox? Usually when I hear about this type of behavior, it comes back to be some plugin or addon to the browser. I'm using FF to view failblog currently. ;)

I would check your security settings and plugins/addons for your browsers.

Bernie you won't believe this but it is 100% true.

The problem about the popup window when I try to change my privacy setting and/or embed settings is still hiding behind the playing video both in FF and IE still exists. I will tryout Rootchan's suggestions about this topic.

However (and this is weird) the problem which I have that I only get a textformat page when I start Viddler is solved when a use a proxy server ?!?!?.

I would check which plugins you have installed. I've not had any other users identify this type of issue when using FF (I'm using 3.5.x) to write this. :)

I would start by seeing if there are any adblocking/flash blocking plugins and uninstall them. The issue you are seeing with only seeing text, sounds like a browser setting. You can look into your browser settings on FF (Tools-->Options-->Content).
