I'm sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. I'm wondering what counts as a "view." My latest vid is getting a ton of views today (a ton more than my vids usually get), and I'm pretty sure I know why, but I'm curious about exactly how long a person has to watch the vid for it to be considered a view, or if just visiting the page it's embedded on makes it count as a view. Let me know.

Hi Chris. :) I'm doing work to add this to the FAQ after seeing your comments here, because I had to go and ask for the answers myself. I know it can be a bit confusing.
Until it's up on the FAQ, here's a quick run-through of all the stats and what they mean:
VIEWS - This is when someone simply views the video player (doesn't necessarily press play, simply sees that the video exists, either embedded or the Viddler page it's on)
-ONSITE (the player was viewed on Viddler)
-EMBEDDED (the player was viewed wherever you've embedded it)
PLAYS - This is the number of times someone has pressed play (they don't have to watch through the entire video for it to count as a play, it's simply the number of times the video has been started)
FAVORITES - Number of times your video has been favorited, via clicking the star next to the title
LINKS - How people are getting to your video (you might see an rss reader link, the entry you posted on your blog that had the video embedded, etc. etc.)
I know you already knew some of that Chris, but I wanted to just put it all here in case anyone has questions about the other stats as well. Hope that helps. :)
