I guess I just don't understand what people like or want to see here.
I spend days or weeks arranging storyboards, choosing effects, music and so forth and get zero comments or views on my stuff, yet someone talking about the weather or opening a package gets a high rating and loads of comments..?? Weird.
Either there's a huge disconnect between myself and what the rest of the planet sees as entertaining, or I've been abducted and taken to an alien planet.
I've got several digital video cams, but just don't see the merit of filming myself talking about mundane subjects. Maybe it's the latest rage?
Sorry not for me.
I left youtube because I wanted to find a kinder gentler video community, (those people are unstable at best, and very rude and immature but I'm sure you're aware of that), but there seems to be this unaccepting middle school clique thing happening on most sites, and they see you as some intruder or "outlander".
I could go out and make a video of the traffic situation or talk about my wife's garden or my job (and there's nothing wrong with that if that's your thing), but it isn't mine.
I'm not angry in the least, bewildered is a better word, and I wish everyone much success and happiness, but my video's are history.
I did leave one little slideshow video about my favorite early movie legend but the other one has left the building and I thank God I had the common sense not to upload any of my others.
One took me weeks to make and got zero comments, zero views. Ouch!
*walks off shaking head in confusion and frustration*
Well anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. Have fun and God bless.

I think that community interaction is a two-way street in terms of receiving comments and getting a lot of feedback... the best way to be noticed is to start friending other people and commenting on their videos, instilling some value in their returning the favor.
In any community, you're going to find yourself getting lost in the mix without linking yourself others in some way, whether that is through finding friends, joining groups and adding your videos to groups, or hopping on the forums (prior to this point) and saying hi. Even I can't physically watch all the videos on the entire site, so without engaging the community, you're more likely to find yourself lost in the mix.
I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience on the site. I hope that maybe down the road, you'll give us another try. :)
