Sort Videos - a must

So far I was unable to find any way to control the order my videos appear on my page, or on my group's page.
I see the newest is first.

I think an ability to sort the videos is a must - either in the My Videos page, or even better, on any page that I have control over - using drag and drop.

I am publishing tutorials which are a part of a series, and should be watched oldest to newest - the default ordering is not good imo.

As far as I could figure out, these forums do not let me know when there is a reply to a thread I posted (or subscribed).

If this is indeed the case, I think this is a must - its common on all boards and contributes highly to the development of long threads and heavy participation.

It will be nice if it will not send an email, as most boards do, but instead, put some list of threads with replies, in the Dashboard, or in the Forums tab of my personal page.

Just a thought.

Let me disable auto play.

Whenever I edit my videos (e.g. post them to groups), they start playing automatically.
I think this is a terrible waste of bandwidth.
I would like to be able to disable it for my own videos.

Allow complete full screen (without bottom controls)

I recently uploaded a video at 1024x768 resolution, with the knowing that Viddler allows full screen resolution.
To my disappointment, I noticed that I could not get rid of the video controls that appear at the bottom.
These controls, which are about 40 pixels height or so, cause the video to get scaled down both vertically and horizontally (to keep aspect ratio) which causes some artifacts in content that look best in their original resolution (e.g. screen captures)

I wish there was a true full screen - perhaps this bottom control can only appear when the mouse is moved down to the bottom?

Without any solution, I had to regenerate my video, and upload it again.

This currently isn't an option, but I know that another user recently requested it and Colin was going to look into creating a way to do this. No definitely plans to provide this option, although it's being considered.

Setting your thumbnail is not an exact science. It picks the nearest key frame to where you click to set your thumbnail, so you may not see the thumbnail change to exactly what you wanted.

It would be nice to have the option of looping the play on videos. I do this often in quicktime, but cannot find the option on viddler.

Well, as much as it sounded simple - I can't seem to get it to work from either a PC FF2 or Mac FF3. I set the thumbnail but not only does that not change... neither does the initial pre-play frame. In speaking with another member who followed this thread he couldn't get it to work, either.

Are we positive this should work and maybe I should file a bug report? If I'm doing something wrong I'm certainly open to trying again.

This is a great idea that I hope we'll possibly implement down the road some day, but since we're still a start up and very light on staffing, I'm not sure that you'll be seeing multiple language versions of the site in the near future. We'd love to have the staffing and time to dedicate to it, but it would be an enormous project and that's something we'll have to think about later on in our growth process.

In order to get a custom logo on your video you can email a Fireworks, Photoshop file, or Illustrator File to custom-requests@pigeon.viddler.com and Jason will build it for you account. Make sure you include the username in the request.
