Viddler

Finding videos on Viddler isn't easy at all.

First of all, search doesn't always seem to find what I'm looking for; even if I know I tagged it with the search term.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, viewing My Videos sucks. If I want to go to page 60 it takes A LOT of clicking to get there. Especially since there's now only the option of clicking 5 pages, and advancing 2 pages at a time. I used to be able to see 20 pages; advancing about 10 at a time.
And because it's all in Java, I can't just navigate to a URL (e.g., http://viddler.com/explore/djsteen/videos/page/47). This really sucks!

I want more page numbers back AND the ability to skip faster and further with a URL option.

As someone who also has a ton of videos, I totally agree that navigating your older content is really difficult, and I agree that with the java setup, the pages are a pain. This is a great request, and I'm forwarding it on. Hopefully in the future we'll implement a better way of sifting through a large quantity of videos.

NOTE: For those of you who are might be new and looking at this thread, this issue is one reason it's VERY important to tag your videos with terms that you would use to search for that video later. Once you have a lot of content, paging through hundreds of videos will be a real pain and your odds of finding a specific video are greatly improved by good tagging. It doesn't perfect the ability to find a video, but your odds are much better with proper tagging. :)

I must agree with djsteen. I tagged (global tags) my first movie with some 10 tags. But doing a search by tags, the result returns always 'zero' matches.

play list functions would be nice. the collage thingy can be a bite too..its nice for what it is. but id still like a play list function that can hold 200-500 videos per title/play list.. most all i do is record my different pc fps games.. i like to put my vids in its own game title play list..me thinks the collage is good for general viewing or if you only have a few videos. im not saying get rid of the collage but i am saying we need play list functions.

i have some 790 videos on youtube and uploading another 100 or so now to youtube..the viddler player is much more nice play back..but i cant move all my vids here..no play list functions.. im doing start to finish play through of all my games.or them i can record.. in a few months i will have a few thousand videos..

id much rather see me videos play on viddler site.. tho i will keep my youtube account way more traffic and gamers at youtube.. so..
