Viddler

Hi,

I just signed up for a $100 per month start-up account, but I'm still not sure if Viddler can do what I need.

Can any of you guys help? Basically, I want to let visitors to my website upload their own videos through my site, and have those videos displayed on my site with no Viddler branding.

I also want visitors to be able to browse the uploaded videos within my site, and leave comments on the videos without logging in.

Can Viddler do this? Do I need to hack around with the API for this?

Ahh no they can't you have to upload all videos to viddler and embed them to your website and the comments part depends on your server!!

Let's say I run a cooking website. I want to have a videos section, where players upload video recipes without leaving my site, which then get displayed within my site. They can also leave comments on each others.

I thought Viddler could do that - am I wrong?

Not that I know of if you want that done talk your host I don't belive in my months with viddler that this is possible yet I'm not A worker for them But That's what I know. Okay So That's all I know Any way enjoy your day!!!!

Yes, they have the whitelabel uploader that will allow users from your site to upload to your viddler account without telling them that's what they are doing...

Then you can brand your videos so there is no Viddler mentioned.

I'm not 100% sure about the viddler powered commenting though, you might have to do comments in your site like a blog/forum/commenting system type thing. I'm pretty sure you need to be logged into viddler to use viddler's commenting system.

We use Drupal for our website, so it handles any commenting needs. We havn't reached the point of using the whitelabeled uploader yet, but I am confident in my recent conversation with their sales team that what you are looking for is the whitelabeled uploader.

both of these are completely possible. (I may see if Product VideoCast wants to assist with answering forum questions, they know their stuff and are a new B2B :D)

You can use the API to program an upload page on your site or as ProductVideoCast mentioned use the whitelabel option, but you will have to give out passwords for whitelable option. So, sounds like the api is the way to go in your situation.

Anonymous commenting is completely possible. Just let me know via the B2B support threads or via email and I'll flip the switch. :)
