Well, that wouldn't really account for what caused the issue for me: the description character limit cutting off text in the middle of HTML.

I was just showing off some features of viddler to someone and discovered a pretty annoying bug.

Start playing a video, pause, click share button, choose e-mail, start filling out...
when you get to the message, you probably want to put more than one word, but if you press space the window disappears and the video starts playing again... worse, if you go back in, the form is cleared!

If you do get an e-mail sent out (by not putting in a message or just putting in one word) then it sends out a link to the video on the viddler page, not where the permalink is. Which for business accounts set to private will give you an error.

tested and confirmed on IE on PC, on Chrome, Firefox 3.0, 3.5, and Safari 4.0 all on Mac.

Best thing, paste the code in a forum thread titled Test Your Viddler Code on any forum (except on viddler), this way, you get better control of Trial and Error.

I got a hiccup from viddler's servers, 503 error, when accessing the dashboard, was rather funny lol cause everything still works :)

Hey guys, I'm sure you're busy with the holidays, but I might have a simple solution for fixing my descriptions. Maybe HTML in descriptions could be temporarily disabled, just long enough to edit out the half-finished code at the end.

Yes I do - they are publisher videos given to us for our website. All of our videos come directly from the publishers or ourselves directly.

Just uploaded two videos for Def Jam Rapstar to my account. Both of them have sound in the original file, but upon uploading - the sound is gone.

Uploaded them to YouTube and the sound works there.

I'm going from category to category, yet it always displays the same topics. I tried restarting my browser, and the proper category finally loaded, only it became the one to load every time, instead. Rather strange, because it was working just fine five minutes ago.

Edit. Okay, after fiddling around, I've found that it allows me to visit a separate category once I've been away from the forums for a few minutes. It also seems that when this problem occurs, the categories listed lower wind up taking priority.

Edit2. Well, whatever was going on, it's working now.

Viddler Player Javascript (VPJS) Documentation Errors

The documentation for the Viddler Player Javascript Framework appears to have a couple errors. Or maybe one error and one thing that needs clarification.

The function "viddlerSeek" requires two arguments but the description shows only one - "viddlerSeek(seconds)". It should be "viddlerSeek('object_id', seconds)".

Also, the descriptions of viddlerSeek and viddlerSwitch are exactly the same, but they do different things. I haven't actually used viddlerSwitch but based on this page it seems to switch out the video within the player without refreshing the page and I think it can jump to a time offset.

you should get this by clicking the ''you'' menu tab and going to settings

shoot cdevroe or some one else on the admin team a message if theres still a prob, or ask them to update the emails,seen quite a few 404 errors on viddler over the past month i think most got sorted though.

By the way, if you don't want to receive these emails, you can change your email preferences at the account options page.
