For some reason i begin my upload, and then once it hits .3% my internet goes out and i have to reset it. Happens every single time. Anyone know what the problem is?

Same here. Uploading is non-functional.

I'm hearing two different issues here.
mellamopobrede - sounds like your internet connection is spotty. If there is an interruption in the internet connection during upload, your upload will fail everytime. Maybe try our ftp service out. Open your favorite FTP program (will not work from a browser), log in with your Viddler credentials and upload your file. Should work like a champ! :)
comicbookinto - I need a little more information. Where you using the simple, batch, ftp or api uploader?
Are you having connection issues as well as, mellamopobrede?
Thanks,
Bernie

Batch uploading is completely non-functional for me (I can prepare all the upload information, but it won't go past 0.7%.
I'm currently testing Simple uploading again. It was getting pretty far yesterday, but failed in the end. Working as of this moment.

Simple uploads aren't working either.

comicbookbinto,
I'm not sure why you are seeing this issue. Would your try the FTP uploader?
open your favorite FTP program and go to ftp.viddler.com
sign in with your viddler user name and password
once your file is completely uploaded our encoder will grab it and the encode process will begin. You will be able to watch the encode process from the batch uploader, encoding tab.

Thanks Bernie,
I'll give that a shot.

Sorry to say, but no method of uploading appears to be working for me.
The batch uploader just goes to error, the simple uploader only gets so far and then heads to an error message and the FTP goes at most a meg in and then fails and says "202 This feature would require detrimental changes".
Not sure what's going on here.

comicbookbinto,
what type of internet connection do you have?
any bandwidth caps?
Bernie

I'm running a high speed DSL connection. No, no bandwidth caps.

Some possible good news!
I had the same problem on my other computer, so I decided to shut down my modem and make it go through a complete reconnect.
So far, I've got two new videos online and one well into uploading.
comicbookbinto (4 months ago)
Everything's back up and running. I don't know why, but it had something to do with my modem. Once I did that reset, everything went back to full functionality.

Oh man i just found this again. Good search feature. If i had known i wouldnt have made a new post. Anyway, what hostname should i use? And is there a specific port number (for ftp upload).
Domochevsky_2 (1 month ago)
Im wondering about the FTP upload as well since the normal upload occasionally gives a horribly unspecific error ("Your upload failed. Try again. No i wont tell you why.") and no option to continue where i left off. (Usually around 99%)
But for some reason my router dies whenever i try to connect to the FTP. It happens every. Single. Time. And nowhere else, just with the Viddler FTP.
Client: Filezilla
It connects, tries to receive the folder contents... and fails. Then my router dies.
I have no idea why this is happening. oO

Same problem today, yesterday was great but cant upload, had to use YouTube so that students could do their lesson - Homeschooling due to Flu.

Domochevsky_2,
not sure why your router would die? weird...
do you have the settings for sftp?
mellamopobrede,
ftp.viddler.com

bernie, im not sure what settings you mean.
bernie staff (1 month ago)
In your FTP program you may be able to identify the connection as ftp or sftp. You will need to use ftp with ftp.viddler.com

This is the default behavior, and thus already done. Using SFTP instead doesn't work at all.
