On the sofa, young WORLDbytes volunteers examine the new immigration points system in discussion with immigration lawyer and Director of Kent Law Clinic, Professor John Fitzpatrick. Discussants conclude that the new points system is crude, impractical and unjust for the millions searching for a better life. John argues that to end this global apartheid, we must start with the unequivocal rejection of immigration laws and recognise that; in the words of Thomas Paine “we can make the world anew”.

I find it very interesting that values like equality are flaunted as being 'good' and something to strive for in society... while the opposite of those is implemented in the very foundation of the same society and still executed today.
Politics (e.g. the new immigration point system) show that in fact equality is not striven for on a big scale, that the opposite is the case.
