Sounds like the sort of debating festival we need right now. There's a lot to sort out in the world.

These debates look exciting and a refreshing change from what is out there at the moment in terms of serious discussion.

This line up of over 70 debates this year at the Battle of Ideas are really exciting. I shall be there.

Free speech allowed, indeed. I attended the Battle of Ideas as a volunteer of WORLDwrite to film the debates. It was really interesting! Everyone shared their ideas, be it professionals or the average citizen. In the Battle of Ideas opinions clash, are altered or born. It’s like a garden that grows critical thoughts, a playground for minds that don’t accept being fed opinions like babies milk. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to broaden their horizon and have a voice and of their own. The parties were fun, too... The Battle of Ideas is no dry conference after all, but a tropical mix of all different kinds of thoughts and people. I can’t wait for next year. Why don’t you give it a go, too? Watching WORLDwrite’s upcoming segments about it can give you a little taste of it. The Battle of Ideas is like a cookie - once you had one, you can’t get enough. And it even encourages you to bake your own.

Brilliant, Went for the 2nd year, and would recommend it to everyone.

I'm disappointed to have found out about this only after the event, as I would have loved to attend; it sounds really interesting. One thing I would say though is that a concessionary ticket priced at £50 does not sound much like a concession when you are unemployed; it's pretty much what I live off for a week, and I'm wondering whether any thought could be given to this in the future. To feel excluded from an event like this based on financial resources seems a little counter-productive.
