Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson lived parallel lives in the spotlight and at the top of the charts, coming together to perform at various times during their careers. After Jackson’s sudden death at the age of 50, Wonder was visibly distraught – He collapsed in tears shortly thereafter at a concert in Milwaukee. In this video, Stevie Wonder pays tribute at the Montreal Jazz Festival to his contemporary by honoring his legacy, puts the media on trial for their treatment of celebrities, and reworks the lyrics to one of his most popular songs in homage to the King of Pop.
