About This Video
Tshepang is a play from South African company MoPo Productions, it is based on the true story of a nine-month-old baby who survived a rape in South Africa and became a symbol of survival. Lara Foot Newton, author and director, began researching the incident, the result is a compelling play, a portrayal of a town cut off by poverty from its own heart. For four years, Tshepang has toured within South Africa and internationally to six countries, to overwhelmingly enthusiastic responsel. In this video we sit down with the director of a play Maurice Podbrey, that has come to represent hope for all.
