Now, slip a copy of my “Island Song” in your favorite player and have a few more beverages! Is it a 7 day Caribbean cruise? Of course not. But if the song is loud enough, and the drinks are strong enough, you can close your eyes and "Have a little fun in the sun"! Ed Gein The Musical won a Gold Remi in the category of fantasy/ horror short films at the 42nd WorldFest in Houston this year. WorldFest was founded 49 years ago as Cinema Arts, an International Film Society in August, 1961. Imagine the innocence and the joy of the 1950's. America was prosperous and well and rock & roll was young, full of vigor and breathless excitement. All was right with the world. Then a manic crescendo came forth, from the depths of hell, to smash this joyful harmony. The Butcher of Plainfield, The Serenading Psycho, The Maestro of Mortal Mayhem reared his ugly misanthropic head. Straight from the rolling, pastoral farmland of Central Wisconsin, Ed Gein redefined evil. His unnatural devotion to his mother, his demonic lust for the recently deceased and his sick and twisted uses of their carcasses shocked a nation. And now his life's story is chronicled through music. Ed Gein, The Musical sets the mood, tone and tempo of his medley of mirth, mayhem, murder and Mom.

Jules Blattner - Beyond the Untold Story

Throughout the 1970's booking agents knew Jules Blattner and the Warren Groovy All-Star Band as the hardest working band in the Midwest. They played up to 300 nights a year throughout the upper Midwest and Southeastern United States with no road personnel for setup or sound, unbelievable by today's standards. The majority of the bookings were one-night-stands in Illinois and Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota.
